Obituary for Alleen Magee Jones
Graveside service for Jones, Alleen Magee, age 82, formerly of Vidalia, Louisiana, will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 1PM, under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
She passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama; and a former member of First Baptist Church of Vidalia, Louisiana before moving to Montgomery.
Alleen was a Sunday School teacher for many years in the Junior High and Senior High school classes at First Baptist Church of Vidalia Louisiana. She worked for Delta Fuel in Ferriday, Louisiana for twenty-five years as an accountant. Ms. Alleen was a strong prayer warrior for many years and was devoted to her family and grandchildren who loved her very much.
A loving housewife and mother, she was preceded in death by her husband James Edward Jones of Vidalia, Louisiana. She is survived by two daughters; Eunice Elizabeth Hendrix (Pat Hendrix) of Prattville Alabama, and Mary Ann Doughty of Vidalia Louisiana; grandson James David Hendrix and granddaughter Rebecca Lynn Hendrix, both of Pensacola Florida. She is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Sadie Crawford of Jackson Mississippi, and a sister-in-law Vivian Magee of Ruston Louisiana.
