Obituary for Arlene Johnston Thompson
Funeral services for Arlene Johnston Thompson, 81, of Vidalia, LA will be held at Sycamore Baptist Church in Vidalia, LA on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 11AM with Bro. Troy Boleware officiating. Interment will follow at Pollock Cemetery at a later date.
Arlene was born on March 27, 1942 in Rochelle, LA to Clarence Johnston and Maude Murphy Johnston and passed from this life into eternal life on May 2, 2023 with loved ones by her side. She graduated Georgetown High School and then took on her greatest career of all as a mother. Arlene had a great sense of humor and her passion was helping others in their time of need and sharing the Lord’s word. She will be fondly remembered and missed by all who knew her.
She is reunited with her husband, Ronald B. Thompson; son, James Darryl Thompson; parents; and siblings, Nan Maines, CJ Johnston, and Jim Johnston.
Arlene's memories live on by the lives she touched, her sister, Judy Mayes of Jonesboro, LA; daughters, Vanessa Thompson of Tucson, AZ and Nicky Thompson Chartier of Cartersville, GA; her grandchildren, Casey Malik and Anna Young; and great-grandchildren, Daniel, Stephanie, Christina and, Mathew Malik and Raelyn Trujillo and Graysen Barbetta.
