Bobby Ray Boyette died December 24, 2020 in the LaSalle General Hospital from COVID-19. He was 70 years old.

Bobby was born March 18, 1950 in Jena, LA to Audrey Lorraine (Tiny) and Robert (Bob) Boyette. He graduated from Block High School in Jonesville and went on to serve in the Air Force. Bobby traveled the world for his work, from his military service in Taiwan to working as international technical engineer for IMCO Services and working with his brother, Roger, in various businesses in Scotland and Sierra Leone, Africa. Bobby met and married his soulmate, Kathy Graham Boyette in Houston, TX. She and her children Shari Desenberg of Santa Paula, CA; Shannon Mullen of Houston, TX, and Robert Graham of Las Vegas, NV were the loves of his life. Throughout the years, he also enjoyed being grandpa to nine grandkids. After Kathy’s passing, Bobby retired and moved to the Bentwater neighborhood in Montgomery, TX to be around friends and improve his golf game. In recent years, he moved back home to Louisiana to be nearer to his mom and extended family.

Bobby was a gentle, quiet guy with a good sense of humor and a big heart. Everybody loved Bobby. He enjoyed being part of the Men’s Fellowship at Calvary Baptist Church in Vidalia
And, he loved to country dance, to play in bowling leagues, and most of all, to play golf and watch sports. He also loved being with his family and caring for them in any way he could.

Bobby is survived by his mother, Audrey Lorraine (Tiny) Crooks Mize of Vidalia; his step-children Shari Desenberg and her three children, Shannon Mullen and her three children, and Robert Graham and his three children; his sister Jean Griffin Crooks and her spouse Lauren Livingston of Berkeley, CA; his brother Roger Crooks of Houston; and his two nephews, Tobyn Crooks of Houston, and Todd Crooks and his children, Benjamin and Sawyer of Austin, TX.

He is predeceased by his wife, Kathy; brother, Steve Boyette; and his father, Robert Boyette.

Mr. Boyette will be buried during a graveside ceremony at Evangeline Baptist Church in Wildsville, LA.
