Obituary for Debbie Douglas
Funeral services for Debbie Ann Douglas, 63 of Jonesville, LA will be held at Liberty Worship Center at 10AM on Saturday, August 12, 2023 with Reverend Jackie Long officiating. Interment will follow at White's Ridge Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home.
Debbie Ann Douglas was born on Saturday, July 30, 1960 in Jonesville, LA. and passed away Sunday, August 06, 2023 in Jena, LA. She was a resident of Jonesville, and a very well known figure in the community. She did the most with the time she was here with us. Debbie spent the beginning of her professional career as an educator for more than 35 years. While she was teaching Debbie began working at everyone's favorite local restaurant, Jackie's, where she worked for 25 years. If there was anything to know in Jonesville, chances are, she knew about it. Debbie was a kind and sweet woman who loved her family and her cat more than anything. She will be missed by all of her "Booboos" and everyone who had the opportunity who call her a friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Maxine Ivey and brother-in-law, Larry LaCroix.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 18 wonderful years, Percy "Peewee" Douglas of Jonesville, LA, son, Jeffery Wayne Ivey (Carine) of Magnolia, TX, grandchildren, Shawn William Parker, Jayden Cooper Ivey, Jordyn Len Ivey, Bailey Ivey, Leia Ivey; step-daughter, Lashonda Atkins of Jonesville, LA, step-son, Lyndell Atkins (Christa) of Harrisonburg, LA, sister, Barbara "Bobbie" LaCroix of Jonesville, LA, brother Earl Ivey (Lisa) of Jena, LA, nieces, Jennifer LaCroix and Brandy LaCroix, nephews, William "Bud" Ivey andTyler Ivey, great nephews, Trenton Butler, Ryan Butler, Taylor Stockman, and Dillion Stockman and special friend Sarah Sproles.
Those honoring her as pallbearers will be: Anthony Jennings, Richard Hatten, Cedric Martin, Lee Atkins, Hunter Frey, and Bo Sproles.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jayden Ivey, Shawn Parker, Bailey Ivey, Lyndell Atkins, and Earl Ivey,
