Funeral services for Diane Gillespie, 72, of Deville, LA will be held at Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at 1PM with Bro. Donald Money officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Park Cemetery, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home.
Diane was born on Thursday, March 03, 1949 in Wisner, LA and passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021 in Alexandria, LA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, SD Gillespie and Lovis Tiffee Gillespie; two brothers, Charles Gillespie and Harry D. Gillespie; three sisters, Sharon Hedrick, Jeannie Hayes, and Patricia Gillespie; and nephew, but more like a son, Michael Hedrick.
Diane leaves behind her son, Shannon Gillespie; daughter-in-law, Jenifer Gillespie both of Marksville, LA; niece, more like a daughter, Michelle Gillespie of Deville, LA; brother, Dwight Gillespie & his wife Janice of Sicily Island, LA; three sisters, Anita Alexander of Shreveport, LA, Helen Smith of Zachary, LA, and Barbara Lee & her husband John of Monroe, LA; four grandchildren, Alisa DeBusk, Chris Gillespie, Kylie Gillespie, and Sarah Ducote; and three great-grandchildren, Lilith, CJ, and Grayson. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Pallbearers are Jason Money, Donald Money, Johnny Alexander, Todd Ford, Seth Lee, and Adam Knight.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tater Gillespie and Richey DeBusk.
The family will receive friends at Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday on Sunday, August 22, 2021 from 11 until service time at 1PM.
