Obituary for Donnie Ferrell
Graveside service for Donnie Gene Ferrell, 66, of Acme, LA will be held at Ferrell Family Cemetery in Monterey, LA on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at 10AM with Lynn White officiating, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home.
Donnie was born on Friday, November 11, 1955 in Monterey, LA and passed away Friday, August 19, 2022 in Alexandria, LA. He was a jack of all trades, from a mechanic to a welder to farmer, and would figure out anything else if he needed to, such as his "electrical work". Donnie enjoyed fishing, but more importantly he loved spending time with his family, grandchildren, and dogs.
He is reunited with his grandparents, Herman & Laura Ferrell; father, Roy Watson; brother, Sonny Ferrell; and brother-in-law, Preston Allen.
Those left behind to cherish Donnie's memory is his mother, Virginia Bea Ferrell Watson; daughter, Chasity Farris & her husband John; sons, Will Ferrell and Leighton Ferrell & his wife Brandi; grandchildren, Hadli Farris, J.J. Farris, Tailor Farris, JoAnna Farris, Tyler Ferrell, Brody Ferrell, Gage Ferrell, Canyon Ferrell, Brooke Ferrell, and Blair Ferrell; a few others he loved like his own grandchildren, Jake Crawford and Them Roach Boys; grandpups, Daisy and Dolly or as he called them "the big ugly one and small fry"; sisters, Betty Allen and Angie Bates & her husband Tim; nephews, Ethan Allen, J.R. Fannin, Darian Fannin, Allen Fannin, and Brad New; nieces, Samantha New, Molly Fannin, Ashlyn Fannin, and Alyssa Fannin; great-nephews, Nate New, Levi Fannin, Evertt Fannin, and Landon Fannin; and numerous cousins who he loved.
Those honoring Mr. Donnie as pallbearers are James Adams, Andy Smith, John Brigman, Leighton Ferrell, Will Ferrell, J.J. Farris, Tyler Ferrell, and Jake Crawford.
