Funeral services for Doris E. Taylor, 91, of Jonesville,LA will be held at Jonesville First Baptist Church at on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 2:00 PM with Bro. Gary Norris, Bro. Tony Ganey, and Bro. Eddie Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Graham Cemetery, Nebo, LA, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home - Jonesville.
Doris Evans Taylor was born on Monday, November 25, 1929 in Mangham, LA and passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Columns Nursing Home. She was a resident of Jonesville, Doris was an active and involved member of First Baptist Church of Jonesville. She was a homemaker and her biggest source of pride was her family. She enjoyed playing tennis, card games and playing bingo.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Emmitt D. Taylor, Sr.; two infant children; her father and mother, John Clinton Evans and Minnie Cheek Evans; sister, Juanita Talley; and nephew, Gregg King.
Surviving family members are her son, Drewitt Taylor, Jr. and wife, Debbie of Manifest, LA, son, Mark Taylor of Monterey, LA; grandsons, Drew, Dusty, Justin, and Brantley Taylor; four great-grandchildren, Denton, Preston, Ada and Nolan Taylor. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and friends who will miss her.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Holland, Les McCartney, Ronnie King, Drew Taylor, Dusty Taylor, Brantley Taylor, and Justin Taylor.
