Funeral services for Floyd Earl Peavy, Sr. 76, of Ferriday, LA will be held at Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday on Monday, July 11, 2022 at 2PM with Bro. Noah Marshall officiating. Interment will follow at Myrtle Memorial in Winnsboro, LA, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home.
Floyd was born on Saturday, August 25, 1945 in Winnsboro, LA. and passed away Tuesday, July 05, 2022 at his home. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Floyd retired from AT&T, after 33 years. He was a loving husband, brother, father, and grandfather and will dearly be missed.
He was preceded in death by parents, Willie Block Peavey and Marie Lambert Peavey; sisters, Yvonne Smith and Anita Causey; brother, Carlos Peavey; sister, Catherine Aswell; and brother, Billy Ray Peavey.
Floyd leaves behind his wife, Sandra Peavy; daughter, Kristi Sanders & her husband Tom; son, Floyd "Skip" E. Peavy, Jr. & his wife Stephanie or Urania, LA; grandchildren, Justin Tyler Sanders, Tristen Dakota Sanders & his wife Tamara, and Eric Peyton Sanders all of Ferriday, LA, Madison Claire Peavy and Abigail Lane Peavy both of Urania, LA; brother, Johnny Ray Peavey of Ferriday, LA; and sisters, Allie Ruth Smith and Dale Graham both of Ferriday, LA.
Those honoring Floyd as pallbearers will be friends.
The family will receive friends at Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday on Monday, July 11, 2022 from 10AM until service time at 2PM.
