Funeral services for Henry David Emfinger, Jr., 49 of Ferriday, LA will be held at Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday, LA at 1:30 PM Sunday, April 16, with Bro. John Collard officiating. Interment will follow at New Pine Hill Cemetery in Sicily Island, LA under the direction of Young's Funeral Home.
Henry David Emfinger, Jr. was born on Thursday, August 09, 1973, in Natchez, MS. and went to be with the lord on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at his home with his family. He was a resident of Ferriday and a member of Abundant Life Church. David was a man who loved his family and loved life. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and woodworking were a few of his hobbies. He loved his family above all else and he will truly be missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Pat Emfinger Sr., brother, Heath Emfinger, In-laws, James, and Linda Mae Blaney.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 28 years, Dora Emfinger, son, Justin Emfinger and fiancé Saige, daughter, Celeste Emfinger and Dylan Easley, two sisters, Mary Moreau, Heather Lafferty, and her husband Jesse, two brothers, Russell Emfinger and wife Lacey and Atreyu Emfinger, sister-in-law, Kim Emfinger, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Those honoring David as pallbearers will be Justin Emfinger, Russell Emfinger, Artreyu Emfinger, Curtis Carter, Dylan Easley and Jessie Lafferty.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Wayne Doolittle, Gary Caldwell, Ronnie Blaney, Charlie Blaney Kippy Blaney and Roy T James.
