Funeral services for James Riley Coco, Jr., 53 of Monterey, LA will be held at Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at 10:00 AM with Bro. Dustin Davis officiating. Interment will follow at New Era Baptist Church, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home.
James Coco, Jr. was born on Thursday, May 15, 1969 in Morgan City, LA. and passed away Friday, July 15, 2022 in Monterey, LA. He was a resident of Monterey and a member of New Era Baptist Church. James worked for Transocean for over 25 years and was a Sub Sea Assessor. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. James enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by father, James Riley Coco, Sr.; grandson, Asher James Taylor, and mother-in-Law- Clara Bordelon.
James is survived by his wife, Ginger Coco of Monterey, LA; daughters, Ashley Coco Taylor of Clayton, LA, Megan Coco Jones and her husband Brice of Colorado Springs, CO and Heather Coco of Monterey, LA; mother, Geneva Simpson Coco of Monterey, LA; sisters, Jamie Coco of Monterey, LA and Juanita Coco of Monterey, LA and father-in-law, Caffery Bordelon of Monterey, LA. He is also survived by his two grandsons, William Taylor and Noah Taylor and granddaughter, Clara Taylor.
Those honoring James as pallbearers will be Wyman Wheeler, Lane Dale, Aaron Smith, Jeff Follmer, Bundy Morace, Ken McKnight, Justin Coco and Randy Smith.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Marc Cummings, George Book, Tommy January Jr., Clifford Simpson Sr., Clifford Simpson Jr., Gary Wiggington, Greg Wiggington, Gary Simpson, Sr, James Adams, N.W. Simpson, Joe Stanley, Rory Dale and Ryan Thompson.
