Funeral services for James Miller Ogle, 67 of Sicily Island, LA will be held at Harrisonburg First Baptist Church on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at 1PM with Dr. Caples and Johnny Ogle officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Park in Sicily Island, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home.

James was born on Thursday, March 05, 1953 in Natchez, MS and passed away Saturday, September 26, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He had a love for music and playing the drums. James enjoyed the outdoors from hunting, fishing, hiking, and camping with his family, but what he enjoyed most was playing basketball with his grandchildren. He loved his family, and will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Miller Ogle and Emogene Prince Ogle; three brothers, Clifton Ogle, David Ogle, and Ricky Ogle; and sister, Betty Jean Dunaway.

He leaves behind his wife of 48 years- Pearlie Ogle of Sicily Island, LA; daughter, Christi Ogle Breland & her husband Robert of Patterson, LA; son, Shon Ogle & his wife Danielle of Sicily Island, LA; daughter, Amy Ogle Mason & her husband Dustin of Denham Springs, LA; four grandchildren, Ainsley and Tommy Ogle and Felicity and Elaina Delgado; three brothers, Clarence Ogle of Deridder, LA, Bobby Ogle & his wife Brenda of Liberty, TX, and Larry Ogle of Monterey, LA; sister-in-law, Damon Ogle of Jena, LA. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Ogle, Josh Walker, Matthew Dobson, John Dobson, Michael Johns, Forrest Dobson, and Mark Krause.

The family will receive friends at Harrisonburg First Baptist Church on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 from 10AM until service time at 1PM. To leave an online condolence for the family please visit www.youngsfh.com.
