Obituary for Janice White Crochet

Funeral services for Janice Lynn Crochet, 62, of Ferriday, LA will be held at Crossbridge Church in Ferriday, LA on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at 10AM with Bro. Matthew Jarvis, Bro. BJ Smith, an Bro. Vincent Bultel officiating. Interment will follow to Harrisonburg Cemetery, under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Dearly Beloved, we are gathered here today to celebrate the life and legacy of love that is Janice Lynn Crochet. Born in Ferriday, Louisiana to parents Morris and Mary White on November 16, 1959. Janice brought beauty and character to all that she touched. She was renowned for her sense of style, skills in design and aesthetic creativity overall. She found beauty even in the broken and took pride in restoring life back to it. Janice always believed in doing the right thing even when it was difficult to accomplish. She was honest to the core. There is no doubt whatsoever that we have all been blessed to have had her in our lives, and she will continue to live on through all those who knew her.

Janice is reunited with her grandparents both maternal and paternal, father Morris White and mother Mary White, her sister Glenda Nell White, brother Vernon (Bro) White, brother-in-law Buddy Holomon, sister-in-law Ritha Crochet, brother-in-law Darryl Crochet, sister-in-law Needra White, brother-in-law Gerald Crochet and brother-in-law Larry Crochet.

Janice's surviving relatives include husband of 47 years Terry Crochet, son Christopher Lee Crochet and partner Melissa, son Benjamin Crochet and wife Crystal, and Merry Crochet and husband Adam along with fur son Jack. Along with grandchildren Tristan Lee Crochet, Kalub Cox, Landon Valure, Tristan Crochet, Aubree Crochet and Paisley Crochet, plus 8 grand cats and dogs. Surviving siblings are Vernon Edward White (Eddie)of Waterproof, LA and Gail Dean Holomon of Follette, TN. As well as numerous well-loved nieces and nephews. And a community that will never forget her kind and giving spirit.

The family will receive friends at Crossbridge Church in Ferriday on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 from 5PM until 8PM.
