Jeffery was born on August 23, 1951 in Aurora, IL and raised in an small community on Sandy Lake on the out skirts of Jonesville, LA. He was first introduced to the Lord in his home and attended Pleasant Grove Church. He was your typical little country boy full of mischief surrounded by family and many friends. With many passions in life, he loved the outdoors and loved to hunt. Jeffery started setting goals as a young boy and two goals were to kill the big buck and catch the bigger fish. He was full of play without a worry in the world. This little boy stepped into the shoes of a man in 1969 when he stated his new job with Fluor Drilling offshore at the age of 18. This hard working, carefree man fell in love with a young girl named Johnie Carol Keeth, choosing to take this beautiful girl as his bride in 1974 at the age of 23. Just like many young men, he grew up with his wife. He traveled the right and wrong roads but he never left the side of his wife. Jeffery became a father in 1977 at the age of 26 to his precious little daughter, Tori Estes Spinks. With a new goal in place he began to work harder to provide a home for his wife and daughter. In 1982, at the age of 31, his wife suprised him with twins. One son, Bubba Estes and another daughter named Nickie Estes Wilson. Soon after, Jeffery would cross one of his first major hurdles in life. He had suffered a severe heart attack. A new goal was in place, he would move forward and still provide for his family. At the age of 58, Jeffery was faced with another hurdle in life, this time it was cancer. With the support from his family, his newest goal was to become a survivor. The strength God gave this man was unbelievable and the love he had for his family, once again kept him moving foward. Jeffery's new goal was not to leave his family behind. Over the last several years, Jeffery came to a cross road in life. A road he began to take seriously. Through many battles of tug of war, Jeffery never forgot the goal he wanted to achieve. He took the right road and began to go back to church. Jeffery chose to look away from the world and he began to keep his eyes on the cross. He renewed his faith in God and chaned his life while leading his family. Throughout Jefferys 70 Years on earth, he set and made every goal. He was a provider, a husband, a father, a grandfather, a survivor and a best friend. He held on tight to his family, loving them every step of the way. He battled his way through a heart attack and cancer more than once. For all the goals Jeffery started making as the little country boy on Sandy Lake, his last goal was the greatest accomplishment of all. Jeffery turned away from the world and gave his life to God. He chose a life with the Lord and walked away from death. Jeffery Robert Estes, Born August 23, 1951 achieved his last and most important goal of all on March 24, 2022.
