Joe was born on Thursday, November 28, 1946 in Winnsboro, LA. and passed away Saturday, November 21, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was a resident of Vidalia and a member of Riverside Baptist Church. Joe proudly served his country as Sargent in the United States Marine Corps as a dog handler during the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe L. Harper and Ruth Fletcher Harper.
Joe leaves his wife of 52 years, June Jones Harper of Vidalia, LA; two sons, Paul Harper and Christopher Harper both of Vidalia, LA; a brother, Bill Harper of GA; and one grandson, Braxton Harper of Overton, TX.
