Obituary for Johnnie Woodruff
Graveside funeral services for Johnnie F. Woodruff, Jr. 84, in Vidalia, LA, will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 2:00 PM with Bro. Tony Ganey and Bro. John Rushing officiating. Interment will follow at Monterey Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home.
Johnnie was born on Sunday September 15, 1937 in Grubbs, AR. and passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022 in Vidalia, Louisiana.
He was an avid famer for over 60 years. Alongside farming, he enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids.
He was preceded in death by parents Johnny F. Woodruff and Notra Bennett Woodruff, 3 sisters Emma Lee Woodruff Victory, Patty Sue Woodruff Hubbard and Wilma Jean Woodruff and 1 brother Virlon L. "Pete" Woodruff.
Johnnie is survived by the mother of his children Betty Pruitt Woodruff, 3 sons Rodney Woodruff and wife Donna B, Damon Woodruff and Wife Toni and Lamon Woodruff and wife Donna V. all of Monterey, Louisiana. Also surving are 8 grandchilldren and 14 great grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to his caretakers, Fannie White and family, Dr. Kenneth Stubbs and wife Karen, Encompass Health and Dr. Lukeheart and his staff.
Those Honoring Johnnie as pallbearers are Dawson Woodruff, Timothy Bebee, Jeremy Bryan, Lynn Loomis, Wesley Banks, Brannon Arthur, John Ross Woodruff, and Landry McGivaren,
Honorary Pallbearers will be Arlon Woodruff, Mike Hubbard, Randy Woodruff and Larry Woodruff.
