Internment will follow at Heard Cemetery, Manifest, LA, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home - Jonesville.
J.R. King was born on Saturday, July 26, 1930 in Jonesville, LA. and passed away Saturday, June 17, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his loving wife and family. He was a resident of Jonesville and a member of Jonesville First Baptist Church. J.R. was a farmer and an avid outdoorsman.

Father- Lee Roy King
Mother- Alice Parker King
2 Sons- James Kirby King and Kernie Wayne King
3 Brothers- Charles "Hub" King, Lee "Cooter" King and Bobby "Porky" King.
He is survived by
Wife of 72 years- Kathleen Kirby King of Jonesville, LA
3 Grandsons- James Kalon King and his wife Rachel of Jonesville, LA, Klayton Kyle King of Jonesville, LA and Devin Wayne King and his wife Holly of Denham Springs, LA.
2 Granddaughters- Kacie Kathleen Childers and her husband Travis of Jonesville and Chelsea Skinner and her husband Byron of Elton, LA
Sister- Jeanette Delhoste of Jonesville, LA
He is also survived by 12 Great-Grandchildren
Pallbearers will be Ken King, Ben King, Ronnie King, Travis Childers, Kimbel Harris and Roy King
