Obituary for Leah Watson
Funeral services for Leah Parker Watson, 60 of Monterey, LA will be held at New Harvest Assembly of God in Monterey on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at 11AM with Rev. David Womack officiating. Interment will follow at McFarlen -Gurie Cemetery in Jonesville, LA, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home.
Leah was born on Tuesday, February 13, 1962, in Natchez, MS and passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2022, in Ferriday, LA. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Leah will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
She is reunited with her father, Alvin "Bull" Parker and daughter, Mary Elaine Germany.
Leah leaves behind her husband of 30 years, Buddy Watson of Monterey, LA; mother, Joyce Tolar Parker of Jonesville, LA; sons, James Germany, Jr. & his wife Susan of Columbia, LA and Jason Roy Watson & his wife Sheena of Mount Bellvue, TX; daughters, Shana Dawson of Zachary, LA and Hailee Hodges of Glenmora, LA; brother, Lee Parker & his wife Amanda of Jonesville, LA; grandchildren; James Germany, III, Gracie Marie Germany, Makayla Paige Strange, Cameron Gauge Strange, Kaitlyn Watson, Jayln Watson, Jason Watson, II, Kaia Redus, Jonovan Dawson, Reign Huffman, and Mila Dawson; special friends, Becky Boone; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Those honoring Leah as pallbearers are Keith Boone, Sam Boone, Wesley McCarver, Jimbo Trant, Dathan Trant and James Deal.
The family will receive friends at New Harvest Assembly of God in Monterey on Friday, December 16, 2022, from 5PM until 8PM.
