Obituary for Louise Evans
Funeral services for Bobbie Louise Evans, 83, of Jonesville, LA will be held at Evangeline Baptist Church on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at 10:30 AM with Bro. Dennis Baker officiating. Interment will follow at Evangeline a baptist Church Cemetery, under the the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Louise was born on January 25, 1940 in Williana, LA and passed away September 15, 2023 in Baton Rouge, LA. She was not only Mama to her kids but to their friends and grandmother to all her grandchildren and their friends.
She is reunited with her husband Carlton Evans; parents, Ivy Morris Sanford and Lessie Thames Sanford; granddaughter, Lori Ann Evans; brothers, Ira Sanford and Clyde Sanford; and sister, Kathryn Crooks.
Those left behind to cherish Mrs. Louise’s memories are her sons, Terry Evans of Denham Springs, LA and Jerry Lynn Evans of Livingston, LA; grandsons, Steven Evans & his wife Leslie, Adam Evans, and Cody Evans; granddaughter, Kali Joines; great-grandchildren, Clay McNeely, Evan McNeely, Zachary Evans, and Blake Evans; and a host of nieces, nephews, and family.
Those honored to be pallbearers for Louise are Clay McNeely, Evan McNeely, Bert Reeves, Steven Evans, Blake Evans, and Cody Evans.
Honorary pallbearer is David Sanford.
