Memorial services for Mae Belle Cockrell Keenan, 67 of Clayton, LA will be held at Maitland Recreation Center at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 25, 2012 under the direction of Young's Funeral Home. Mrs. Keenan was born on January 14, 1945 in Mobile, AL and passed away Thursday, January 26, 2012 after a lengthy illness at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday. She was a resident of Clayton, a owner and operator of Maitland Greenhouse and she was a member of the Baptist Faith. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Ferriday Garden Club because of her love of plants or charity of your choice. Survivors include her husband, Duane Keenan of Clayton; one daughter, Marilyn Keenan of Gulfport, Ms.; one son, Donald Keenan and wife, Amanda, of West Monroe; one sister, Era Lea Neely and husband, Burkett; two grandchildren, Riley and Bryar Keenan; and four nephews. The family would like to give a special thanks to the Medical services at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, The Neuro Medical Center in Baton Rouge, and The Camille Hospice Staff.
