Mariolyn "Mimi" V. Smythe Britt, 81 of Vidalia, LA was born on Thursday, September 22, 1938 in Winnsboro, LA and passed away on Wednesday, July 01, 2020 peacefully at her home. Mariolyn was an avid reader, excellent seamstress, and a wonderful gardener. She was a loving Mimi to her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents- Stanley E. Smythe and Doris Tuberville Smythe; husband- R.S. Britt; son- Charles Kurtz Merritt; sister- Elot Cauthen; and step-son- Ty Britt.

"Bucky" Merritt of Natchez, MS; daughter - Alicia Yielding & her husband Tim of Monterey, LA; grandson- Walt Ketchings & his wife Sarah of Baton Rouge, LA; granddaughter- Suzannah Ketchings of Ferriday, LA; granddaughter- Rachel Jones & her husband Hunter of Wilmington, NC; grandson- Kurtz Merritt of Oxford, MS; great-grandson- Hogue Ketchings of Baton Rouge, LA; step-granddaughter-in-law- Susan Britt of Gilbert, LA; step-granddaughter- Walty Sample & her husband Ken of Houston, TX; granddaughter- Courtney Zachman & her husband Matt of Houston, TX; grandson- Ben Sample of Houston, TX; and great-grandson- Connor Zachman of Houston, TX.
