Obituary for Mark McFarland

Memorial service for Mark Andrew McFarland will be held on Tuesday September 20th, at 11:00 am, at the Landmark United Pentecostal Church in Eddiceton, MS, with the Rev. Jessie Givens, Jr officiating. Sister Tiffany Givens will be singing “Still Everything”, and Chasity Foster will be singing “Gentle Hands”.

Mark Andrew McFarland, 66, of Meadville, passed from this life on September 10, 2022, in Baton Rouge, LA. He was born on June 25, 1956, in Natchez, MS to Ralph McFarland and Dot Foster McFarland. He enjoyed his work at International Paper until it’s closing in July 2003 and Herring Gas Company from where he retired. He loved to work in his yard, Nascar, dirt track racing and was devoted to helping his parents. He was known for “Call me if you need anything” to be the last thing he said before leaving you and he always meant it.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Pearl Foster and Allen and Elizabeth McFarland.

Those left to cherish Marks memory are his wife, Patricia McFarland; children, April Moak, Jason McFarland (Hilie), Justin McFarland, Dustin McFarland (CeCe); stepsons, Brian Laird, Brad Laird, and Shannon Courtney; brother, Andy McFarland (Angie); sister, Cindy Foster (Mickey); eleven grandchildren, Brittany Prevost (Justin), Hayden McFarland, Jaci McFarland, Allison McFarland, Lauren McFarland, Elizabeth McFarland, Madison Moak, Lilly Moak, Emma McFarland, Mia McFarland, Justin Wayne McFarland; one great grandchild, Bentley Prevost and four step grandchildren. He is also survived by nephew, Guy McFarland; niece, Meagan Baker; and special partner in crime, Chasity Foster, as well as a host of loving family and friends.
