Graveside services for Martha Ella McClure, 89 of Jonesville, LA will be held Evangeline Baptist Church Cemetery on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 10 AM with Reverend Kevin Smith officiating under the direction of Young's Funeral Home.
Martha Ella McClure was born on Wednesday, October 25, 1933 in Clarks, LA. and passed away Thursday, June 29, 2023 at Camelot Leisure Living. She was a resident of Wildsville, and a lifetime member of Evangeline Baptist Church. Martha was just a hands-on country woman; she never missed an opportunity to give her two cents or share some advice. She spent her life in the community, getting to know everyone who came into her and Sonny's store. She enjoyed her banter with her favorite customers, if she liked you, she gave it to you even more. After retiring she became a full-time grandmother and great grandmother, and she loved every minute of it. She will be missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Sonny McClure, son, Darron McClure, sisters, Mary Potts, Ruth Cavanaugh, Margaret Arthur, brothers, Buddy Nessmith, Sonny Boy Nessmith.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Sharon, and Ronnie Wilson of Wilsdville, LA, granddaughter, Leslie and Donny Eames, grandson Jason and Marcie Wilson, great-granddaughters, Olivia Eames, Breanna Eames.
