Obituary for Mary Chaudoin Knox

Funeral services for Mary  Ellen Chaudoin Knox, 86, of Jonesville, LA will be held at Sandy Lake Pentecostal Church on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 2PM with Bro. Joel Ford officiating.  Interment will follow at Heard Cemetery in Manifest, LA, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home.

Mary was born on Wednesday, August 26, 1936 in Urania, LA and passed away Sunday, November 27, 2022 in Jackson, MS. She would help her husband, G.P., make wooden belt buckles and wooden cyprus clocks. They made wooden belt buckles for the 1984 Worlds Fair in New Orleans. They both enjoyed traveling to many festivals and conventions that featured their craftsmanship, and made many friends along the way. Mary never met a stranger and loved everyone, and everyone loved her. She loved cooking, full or hungry; she always fed you if you came to visit. More than anything, Mary loved spending time with her family, especially her grandbabies.

She is reunited with her husband, G.P. Knox, Jr.; parents, Joseph L. Chaudoin and Maxine Jester Chaudoin; daughter, Karen Knox Coleman; and grandsons, Derrick Coleman and Morgan Cay.

Mary leaves behind her sons, Lynn Knox & his wife Rhonda of Schriever, LA and James Knox & his wife Colleen of Houma, LA; daughters, Darla Little & her husband Ben of Jonesville, LA and Lisa Cay & her husband Kenny of Jonesville, LA; grandchildren, Marsha Ardoin, Melissa Knox, Michelle Knox, Bryan Knox & his wife Hannah, Rodney Knox, Eric Little & his wife Katie, Emily Cay, Joby Knox, and Patience Thibodaux & her husband Donald; great-grandchildren, Devyn, Dani, Tyler, Preston, Landyn, Knox, Jack, Elle, Anthony, Brianna, Javyn, and Abigail; brothers, Joseph "Sonny" L.
