Funeral services for Mary Agnes Gilfoil York, 83 of Jonesville, LA will be held at St. Gerard Catholic Church in Jonesville on Monday, January 23, 2023 at 10:00 AM with Father John Pardue and Father Louis Sklar officiating. Internment will follow at Woodland Cemetery in Jena under the direction of Young's Funeral Home - Jonesville.
Mary Agnes York was born on Wednesday, September 6, 1939 in Vicksburg, MS. and passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria , LA. She was a 4H agent and home economist for the LSU Cooperative Extension Service in Catahoula from 1962 to 2001. Mary was a resident of Jonesville and a member of St Gerard Catholic Church.

Sister- Dorothy Dyer of Orange, TX
Brother- Patrick Gilfoil and his wife Margaret of Omega, LA
Sister- Margaret Yerger and her husband Ed of Mound, LA
Brother- Bill Gilfoil and his wife Becky of Omega, LA
Brother- Johnny Gilfoil and his wife Susan of Tallulah, LA
Sister- Georgie Breard and her husband Chris of Gulfport, MS
Sister- Gail Graugnard and her husband Paul of Coldspring, TX
Sister- Susie Cangelosi and her husband Keith of Covington, LA
She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews
Pallbearers will be Scotty Holloway, Lyndon Bourgoyne, Harvey White, Roy Snyder, Eron Bourne and Pat McCaughey
