Graveside service for Mattie Wilson Estis, 74, of Natchez, MS formerly of Epps, LA will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at 2PM, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home.
Mattie Estis was born on Sunday, February 8, 1948 in Ferriday, LA and passed away Friday, September 16, 2022 in Natchez, MS.
She is reunited with her spouses, Jackie Estis and Jimmy Greene; parents, Barbon B. Wilson & Edna Taylor Wilson; foster parents, Lela & Lovie Laird; brother Earl Manning; brothers, Eugene Wilson, P.D. Wilson, James Edward Wilson, Bob Wilson, David Earl Harp; sister, Viola Hamilton; an infant sister; and great-niece, Amber Chantel Elkins.
Mattie leaves behind her brother, Brady Wilson of Waterproof, LA; sisters Thelma Franklin of Jonesville, LA, Sarah June McPherson of Start, LA, and Bernice Sandford of Biloxi, MS; adopted brothers. Danny Hershaw and Chester Hershaw; adopted sisters, Barbara Blaylock, Dorothy White, and Earline McMillian; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, family, and friends.
Those honoring Mrs. Mattie as pallbearers are Chuck Hodge, Cam Michel, Landon Kilpatrick, Dylan Keith, Ruben Wilson, and Carmon Evans.
The family will receive friends at Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 from 12noon until 1PM.
