Funeral services for Paul Vanner Lipsey, 78, of Monterey,LA will be held at New Era Baptist Church on February 6, 2021 at 2PM with Bro. Dustin Davis officiating. Interment will follow at New Era Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home.
Paul was born on Sunday, December 20, 1942 in New Era, LA and passed away Thursday, February 4, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. He proudly served his country in the United States National Guard. Paul was an avid outdoorsman. He spent his life farming, and enjoyed deer hunting, gator hunting, and fishing. Paul was a family man and loved them dearly. His favorite times were when he was with his family. Paul will be dearly missed by everyone that had the privilege of knowing him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivy and Myrtle Lipsey and brother, Wilbur Lipsey.
Paul leaves behind the love of his life of 54 years, Barbara Twist Lipsey of Monterey, LA; son, Jimmy Lipsey & his wife Summer of Monterey, LA; daughter, Fonda Collins & her husband Weldon of Lafayette, LA; special nephew, Glenn Lipsey of Monterey, LA; sister, Valda L. Greene of Monterey, LA; granddaughter, Tara Forman of Monterey, LA; grandson, Andrew Forman & his wife Amanda of Monterey, LA; grandson, Leighton Lipsey of Monterey, LA; and granddaughter, Leigha Taliaferro & her husband Tal of Monterey, LA; and six great-grandchildren, JR, Levi, Khloe, Eden, Grayson, and Jolie.
Pallbearers are Will Lipsey, Glenn Lipsey, Brad Lipsey, Gene Baker, Harry Palmer, and Jimmy Lipsey.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike Forman, Bubba Collins, Andrew Forman, Tal Taliaferro, Van Strebeck, Leighton Lipsey, Jerry Lipsey, Johnny Warren, Kent Moreland, and Stephen Moreland.
