Ralph "Pete" Thomas Thornhill , Jr., 68 of Monterey, LA was born Monday, September 21, 1953 in Ferriday, LA and passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022 at his residence. He spent his life working in the oilfield and running his own business working on pumping units. Ralph will deeply be missed.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Thomas Thornhill, Sr. and mother, Annie Goodine & her husband Al.

Pete leaves behind his beloved best friend and K-9 companion, Missy; daughter, Charlie Thornhill Allwell & her partner Jacob Matthews of Sicily Island, LA; two grandsons, Zachary Tyler Landmark of Leland, LA and William Ashton "Slade" Allwell of Sicily Island, LA; great-granddaughter, Dakota Cheyenne Landmark of Fort Necessity, LA; two sisters, Sondra Marshall of Ruston, LA and Connie Reid of Minden, LA; brother, Ricky Thornhill of Dunbarton, LA; sister, Kathy Pace & her husband James of Scott, LA; and brother, Allen Thornhill & his wife Linda of Dubach, LA.

Honorary pallbearers will be Slade Allwell, Jacob Matthews, and Stacy McCarty.

MOTTO TO LIVE BY: Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, coke in one hand, cigarette in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and shouting "WOO HOO WHAT A RIDE!"
