Funeral services for Reba Hughes Sellers, 81 of Jonesville, LA will be held at Springhill Cemetery on Friday, January 29th at 1 p.m. with Bro. Jack Crane and Bro. Larry Whittington officiating, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home Jonesville.
Reba Hughes Sellers was born on Wednesday, March 1, 1939 in Crossett, AR. She was a resident of Jonesville, and a member of Wallace Ridge Baptist Church. Reba was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, cousin. If you knew her or met her, she would tell you about Jesus. She had a true servant's heart, always wanting to help. She was a true Christian woman who served the Lord, loved to sing, and honored her marriage for 61 years, truly until death did they part. She passed away January 25, 2021 at 3:45 p.m. in Dubuis Hospital, Alexandria, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents, J.B. & Mildred Hughes, in laws, W.H. & Gertrude Sellers, brother-in-law, Bob Perritt, and nephew, Rob Perritt.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Alvin Nelson “Peanut" Sellers of Jonesville, LA; daughter, TeRan and Cary Dean Book of Jonesville, LA; daughter, Tonia Sellers of Deville, LA; granddaughter, Nikki & Dewitt Lurry of Trout, LA; granddaughter, Kamra, and Travis Craig and great granddaughter of Jena and; great grandson, Zeke Lurry of Trout, LA; great granddaughter, EmmaRie Lurry of Trout, LA, and uncle, Dr. William & Dawn Hughes of Monroe, LA. sister, Nanny Perritt, Little Rock, AR; sister, Edie & Robert Woodard, Arcadia, LA; brother-in-law, Bobby Sellers, Texarkana, TX; sister-in-law, Helen "Tiny" Mangum, Waldo, AR and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends. Special Friend Jerrie Russell of Sicily Island, LA.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Slocum, Jake Slocum, Tony Woodard, Cary Dean Book, Petie Book, Dewitt Lurry.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jesse Horton, Dee Horton, Casey Ashley, Bill Jones, Jr Slocum, Robert Woodard, Zeke Lurry.
The family will receive friends at Young's Funeral Home in Jonesville, LA from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, January 28th.
