Funeral services for Richard Don Houck, 72 of Ferriday, LA will be held at Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 11AM with Bro. Doug Broome officiating, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home.

Richard was born on Sunday, March 07, 1948 in Spring Hill, LA and went to his Heavenly home on Monday, September 21, 2020 at his home. He proudly served his country in the United States National Guard and was a member of Natchez First Baptist Church. His life mission was praying and reaching those who were lost. The faith and positivity Richard shown on everyone will forever be missed. To know him was to love him, and to be loved. His passion was capturing life's precious moments through his photography and artistic talents which has become others priceless treasures. Richard was a loving son, husband, brother, daddy, but most importantly a pawpaw.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Houck and step-son, Christopher Marion.

Richard leaves behind his mother, Gloria Willis Houck; wife of 21 years, Linda Houck of Ferriday, LA; daughter, Jana Ortiz & her husband Jose of Arlington, TN; son, Jared Houck & his wife Cyndi of Mt. Pleasant, SC; step-daughter, Melodie Claxton & her husband Tommy of Mt. Pleasant, MS; three brothers, Larry Houck & his wife Jan of Dublin, GA, David Houck & his wife Barbara of Brandon, MS, and Mark Houck & his wife Vanessa of Vidalia, LA; seven grandchildren, Jacob Ortiz, Mary Presley Houck, Robert Marion & his wife Ashley, Brittany Clark & her husband Chris, Chase Wilson, Breanna Marion, and Ian Marion; and two great-grandchildren, Camden Wilson and Sawyer Clark. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
