Obituary for Rick Sibley
Funeral services for Rick Sibley, 76, of Monterey, LA will be held at Eva Church of God on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 3PM with Bro. Joey Pepmiller officiating. Interment will follow at Eva Church of God Cemetery, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home.
Rick was born on Thursday, June 29, 1944 in Columbia, South Carolina and went to be with the love of his life, Neeva, on Friday, May 28, 2021 surrounded by his family in Lecompte, LA. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Most importantly, Rick loved spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife Neeva Eileen Tiffee Sibley and parents, Melville Buckley Sibley and Virginia Anderson Sibley.
Rick leaves behind his two sons, Richie Sibley & his wife Jan of Baton Rouge, LA and Stephen Sibley & his wife Shawna of Lecompte, LA; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Buckles & her husband Taylor of Monterey, LA, Madeleine Sibley of New Orleans, LA, Emmaleth Sibley of Baton Rouge, LA, and John Philip Sibley of Marksville, LA; two great-grandchildren, Mason Martin and Connor Buckles both of Monterey, LA; and two sisters, Karen Endres & her husband Sam of Gainesville, TX and Susan Tompkins & her husband Alan of Jonesboro, LA.
Those honoring Rick as pallbearers are Scott Tiffee, Taylor Buckles, John Philip Sibley, Michael Tompkins, Alan Tompkins, and Sam Endres.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in remembrance of him to Eva Church of God.
