In lieu of flowers, you may honor the memory of Mr. Ronald Johnson by donating to the Honey Brake Confluence Foundation. The Johnson family, in loving memory of Ronald Johnson, is making available an opportunity to support that which was important to him. Throughout his whole lifetime, Mr. Johnson joyfully supported various Christian ministers and ministries; he also spent his last years developing and building Honey Brake Ltd. We invite you to join in a sponsorship that combines these two passions. This fund will be used as a scholarship for Christian ministers and/or ministries to enjoy some needed time and retreat at the Honey Brake Lodge and property for the purpose of physical, emotional, and spiritual refreshment. Thank you for your gifts in loving memory of Ronald Johnson — a husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, employer, dear friend and counselor. https://www.honeybrakeconfluencefoundation.org/

Mr. Ron was born on Tuesday, August 28, 1934, in Ville Platt, Louisiana, and he passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Trinity. He was a resident of Jonesville and a member of Berean Bible Church.

Mr. Johnson proudly served his country as Captain in the United States Air Force. He earned his college degree at USL in Lafayette, Louisiana, in Petroleum Engineering, however, farming became his passion. Whether it be 12 to 16-hour days turning the earth or working on the equipment, he was always ready to get home and spend time with his family and beloved wife, Helen. In his last years his time was spent farming Louisiana Delta and managing the Honey Brake Lodge on the banks of beautiful Larto Lake. As much as he enjoyed his work, there was a passion and love far greater — that for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Spending time immersed in the Word of God whether in his study or on his back porch, drawing closer to his Savior, walking daily to be more like Christ, spreading the good news of his Savior Jesus Christ, was Mr. Ron's truest passion. This is his legacy that will live on in the hearts and minds of all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents Dudley and Eugenia Johnson. Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 64 years, Helen Johnson of Jonesville, LA, daughter Dawn Marcellino (husband Pastor Jerry) of Laurel, MS, son Rev. Laine Johnson (wife Janet) of Jonesville, LA, brother Michael Johnson (wife Gail) of Corpus Christi, TX, sister Kay Temple of Bayou Chicot, LA, brother-in-law Dr. Dennis LaRavia (wife Sharon) of Ferriday, LA, and sister-in-law Jean Fairbanks of Frogmore, LA.
