Funeral services for Sarah G. "Bobbie" Pecanty, 79, of Monterey,LA will be held at Monterey First Baptist Church on Friday, June 26, 2020 at 2PM with Bro. John Rushing and Bro. Tony Ganey officiating. Interment will follow at Green Cemetery, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home.
Sarah G. "Bobbie" Pecanty was born on Sunday, December 08, 1940 in Monterey, LA and passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2020 in Ferriday, LA. She was a member of Parhams Baptist Church. Bobbie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents- General Gile Green and Sarah Green; and her siblings- Samuel Green, Aleen Pecanty, Ferbia Russell, Pete Green, Curtis Green, Glenn Green, Inis Smith, Judy Green, and Vera Green.
Bobbie leaves behind her husband of 62 years - Norman Pecanty of Monterey, LA; son- Clyde Pecanty & his wife Lisa of Baton Rouge, La; son- Andre Pecanty of New Era, LA; daughter- Ginger Ryall & her husband David of Baton Rogue, LA; son- Perry Pecanty of Monterey, LA; daughter- Bridget Brown & her husband Wyatt of Monterey, LA; grandchildren- Blair Snider & her husband Jeremy, Blane Pecanty, Cody Beard, Brandi Currey & her husband Josh, Tyler Pecanty & his wife Emily, Taylor Pecanty, Hayden Willson & his wife Baler, Ashlee Willson, Colton Willson, Connor Brown, Elisa Brown, and Wesley Brown;10 great-grandchildren; two sisters- Mary Grace Burley and Inez Sturgeon; and niece- Shellie Burley. She is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Pallbearers are Cody Beard, Blane Pecanty, Hayden Willson, Colton Willson, Tyler Pecanty, and Curtis Smith.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Red Tiffee and TD Pugh.
