Sharon Jenean Knight passed away November 9, 2022 at the age of 79. She was born in Abilene, Texas, the only child of Louis J. Knight and Billy Jean Woods Knight.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Walter S. Knotts. She grew up in Sicily Island, Louisiana and attended school there until the eleventh grade. Her family moved to Pineville, LA where she completed her high school education. With a degree in Social Welfare from Louisiana State University, she worked several years in New Orleans. She then returned to school to earn her Doctorate of Juris Prudence from Loyola University. She had a long and successful career working as an attorney and lobbyist for members of the medical profession and retired in 2010 from the Louisiana Medical Society. She divided her time between her home in Baton Rouge and her farm in North Louisiana. She will be sadly missed by friends and family.

Graveside services will be held at the Old Pine Hill Cemetery in Sicily Island on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at 1PM.
