Pete was born on Tuesday, December 4, 1945 in Harrisonburg, LA. and passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2023 in Alexandria, LA. He spent many good, hard years working in the oilfield, but Pete's true passion was being a cowboy. No matter the task, whether it was working cattle and goats, trading horses, and everything in between it was what he truly loved. If he ever had the chance he was quick to spread the weath of knowledge he learned to those willing to share that lifestyle. Pete was a character and he was a lot of fun to be around, he never met a stranger and he was a real jokester. If you had the oppurtunity to know Pete, he always showed his true colors and he will be missed by everyone.

He is reunited with his parents, John "Jay" Archie Prudhomme and Vivian "Bill" Emmons Prudhomme; step-son, Jeremy Cassels; brothers, Kenneth "Joe" Prudhomme and William "Rooster" Prudhomme; sister, Penny Robinson; son-in-law, Brian Wise; and brother-in-law, Kenneth Brown.

Those left behind to cherish Pete's memories are his wife of 43 years, Liz Ainsworth Prudhomme of Harrisonburg, LA; sons, Gavin Prudhomme (Toni) of Olla, LA and Joey Prudhomme of Columbia, LA; daughters, Rhonda Wise of Olla, LA and Kelly Chauvin (Eric) of Harrisonburg, LA; daughter-in-law, Mildred Prudhomme of Olla, LA; sisters, Betty Morris (JD) of Lake Claiborne, LA, Ann Brown of Athens, LA, Kathyrn "Tweety" Newman (Eldon) of Carthage, TX, and Patty Walker (Marvin) of Carthage, TX; grandchildren, Jed Laird (Jessica), Allison Kelly (Lesley), Ethan Prudhomme, Whitney Randall (Chad), Carli Johnson (Hunter), Kaitlin Clark (Dustin), Cullen Wise (Sydney), Taylor Estis, Morgan Estis, and Abbey Cassels; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
