Obituary for Una Paul (Stutson)
Funeral services for Mrs. Una Stutson Paul , 85, of Harrisonburg, LA, will be held at Harrisonburg First Baptist Church on Tuesday, November 24, 2020, at 10:00 A.M., with Rev. Joey Paul, Dr. Thomy Green, and Dr. Philip Caples officiating. Interment will follow at the Harrisonburg Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mrs. Paul was born on December 19, 1934, in Harrisonburg, LA and passed away on November 21, 2020, at Merit Health Wesley in Hattiesburg, MS. She was a resident of Harrisonburg, an educator, and a member of Harrisonburg First Baptist Church where she served as church organist and Sunday School Teacher.
She was preceded in death by her father, Sterling E, Stutson, Sr.; her mother, Ida Lambert Stutson; an infant brother, S.E. Stutson, Jr.; and a sister, Daisy Stutson Cruse. Survivors include her daughter, Gwile Paul Freeman and her husband David of Harrisonburg; one brother, Ralph Stutson, Sr. of Pineville, LA; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
The pallbearers will be Robert Bradley, Dean Cannaday, Danny Cole, Gene Edwards, Jay Paul, and Ralph Stutson, Jr.
The family will receive friends at Harrisonburg First Baptist Church from 9:00 A.M. until service time on Tuesday, November 24, 2020. Covid protocols will be followed.
