Obituary for Wilbert Bordelon
Funeral Services for Wilbert Harold Bordelon, will be held at Youngs Funeral home in Jonesville on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 2PM with Father Louis Sklar and Father John Pardue officiating. Interment will follow at Heard Cemetery, Manifest under the direction of Young Funeral Home.
Wilbert Harold Bordelon of Jonesville, LA passed away on December 16, 2020 after a brief illness. Harold, as he preferred to be called, was born on February 12, 1947 in Jonesville to W. Wilbert Bordelon and Delia Wiley Bordelon. He was a lifelong resident of Jonesville and had served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Harold was preceded in death by both of his parents, brother R.J. Bordelon of Jonesville, and Gary D. Bordelon of Crosby, MS.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Bridget Hays Bordelon; daughter Tiffany Bordelon, granddaughter Cristen Bordelon; daughter Jeannine Bordelon, husband Gordon Fotheringham and granddaughter Olivia Fotheringham; son Christopher Bordelon, wife Erin Boyne Bordelon, grandsons Thomas Bordelon and Tyler Bordelon. Two nieces Misty Bordelon of Arkansas, Delia Bordelon of Crosby, MS; nephew Michael Bordelon of Jonesville. He also leaves behind an extended family of beloved cousins and treasured friends.
Pallbearers will be Bo House, Gordon Fotheringham, Tim Davis, Scott Davis, Mickey Edwards and Damian Bordelon. Honorary pallbearers will be Willard Chevallier, Jr., Acie White, Pat McCaughy, Tommy Champlin and Ray Lea.
